Responsibility for reader data
The 1win-nigeria.ng editorial team is the controller of the data described here; details are in the section “Who publishes 1win-nigeria.ng” below. Questions and requests go to [email protected].
This policy covers 1win-nigeria.ng only. 1win.ng is run by its own operator, and anything you enter there falls under the Privacy Policy and Cookie Information pages that 1win links at the bottom of 1win.ng.
Data by situation
| Situation | What we receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Opening a page | Request data passed through Cloudflare | To deliver the page |
| Counting visits | Page totals from Cloudflare Web Analytics | To see which entries are read |
| Writing to us | Your email address, message and attachments | To reply and correct pages |
| Following a partner link | One technical cookie from our partner tracker at run.1win-nigeria.ng | To credit the visit to this site |
Page delivery
Pages are served through Cloudflare. To send a page, Cloudflare receives the request from your browser, which includes your IP address, the browser type it reports and the page address; that request data is governed by Cloudflare’s own privacy terms.
Visit counting
Cloudflare Web Analytics gives us totals, such as how many times an entry was opened in a week, without setting cookies. The totals contain no names, phone numbers or email addresses, and we build no profile of any reader.
By design, reading an entry leaves no cookie from us in your browser. We will repeat this test on 1win-nigeria.ng and date it here.
Partner links
A link to 1win.ng passes through our partner tracker, which is configured to place one technical cookie lasting about a day, so the affiliate programme can attribute the visit. The cookie carries no name, phone number or account detail. After 1win.ng opens, your phone number, password, documents and bets go to 1win alone; we never see your 1win account.
Emails
An email to us gives us your address, your text and any attachment. We use them to answer and, where you report an error, to fix the page and log the correction. We keep them for as long as that work and our corrections record require. Never send passwords, SMS codes, card numbers, BVN or ID documents; if you do by mistake, tell us and the message is deleted.
Who else receives data
- Cloudflare, for delivery and visit totals.
- The provider hosting our mailbox, for emails you send.
- 1win, after you follow a partner link, under 1win’s own rules.
We do not sell reader data and give nobody, 1win included, a reader’s email address for marketing.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, personal data we keep about you stays under your control. On request we confirm whether any is on file and send it to you, amend it, erase it, or stop using it for a purpose you reject. Send the request from the email address it is about, which lets us find the records. If you are not satisfied with our reply, a complaint can be lodged with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
Readers under 18
1win-nigeria.ng is written for adults, and data about minors is never collected on purpose. If a minor has written to us, tell us and the message will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
Any change in what we collect, including the result of the cookie test above, is published here first with a new date. Cookie details and how to clear them are in the 1win-nigeria.ng cookie notice; rules for using the site are in our terms for readers.
Who publishes 1win-nigeria.ng
1win-nigeria.ng is published by its editorial team: Femi Oladipo, senior editor, and Zainab Yusuf, fact-checker. No part of the team belongs to 1win, and the operator has no say in what is published.
