The checks the scores rest on
Three checks of 1win.ng sit behind the current scores. The first, on 08.10.2026, was made in an Android phone browser with English (Nigeria) settings and left eight screenshots, among them the sign-up form, the deposit cashier, the bonus card, the footer and live chat. The notes also cover the identity verification screen, the Terms and the Responsible Gaming page. Answers from support given on 07.10 were added to the same notes. The second check, on 13.10.2026, used Android and iPhone browser profiles to read the app items in the menu, the manifest file, the sportsbook, the prices, the betslip and the casino catalogue. The third, on 14.10.2026, was made by a tester on an iPhone from a Nigerian connection and left 17 screenshots: the limits of every cashier entry, the rules on payout times and documents, the bonus cards, the sportsbook and the install window.
The limits we keep to
No check involved money. Nothing was deposited or withdrawn, no bet was staked, no document was uploaded and no app was installed. So no score on this site rests on tested payout speed, fees or limits behind identity verification; where the rules state a payout time, the pages mark it as stated by the site.
Five labels for the source of a fact
A fact about 1win on this site always carries its source. The status tables on our pages use these five labels, word for word:
- Seen on site: the item was on the screen during a check.
- Stated by site: 1win.ng says it, but we did not try it.
- Told by support: the live chat’s answer, with its date.
- From reviews: reported by independent reviewers, not seen by us.
- Not checked: something only an account holder or a depositor could see.
Naira sums that carry no label, for example a wagering total or the return on a stake, are our arithmetic on figures from the site, and the sum is printed next to them.
Four questions for every area
Each area is marked out of 10, to one decimal, against the same four questions.
- Shown: does the site put the terms on screen before the player commits?
- Complete: are the figures that decide the outcome all there, such as minimums, caps and periods?
- Confirmed: how much of the area rests on Seen on site, and how much on statements or reviews?
- Fair to the player: is there a term or gap that can cost a player money or access later?
Points are gained only for what was seen or stated, and lost for what is hidden, missing or contradicted. A term that limits the player, such as a cap on bonus winnings, lowers the mark even when it is printed clearly, because clarity and fairness are judged separately.
Six areas with equal weights
The overall score averages six areas, each weighted at one sixth. Equal weights stop a strong area, such as the casino lobby, from hiding a weak one, such as the bonus cap.
| Area | Weight | Score | What decided it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account & login | 1/6 | 7.4 | Two-field sign-up; Phone and Email tabs; reset link; reset not run |
| Cashier | 1/6 | 7.1 | Nine naira entries, each with its limits; payout times in the rules; payout limits hidden |
| App | 1/6 | 7.2 | Steps for both phones; standalone web app; Android app not installed |
| Bonus terms | 1/6 | 6.6 | First card complete; x1 cap; period and maximum bet missing |
| Casino | 1/6 | 8.1 | Large lobby; demo labels; studio list; RTP not in the catalogue |
| Sportsbook | 1/6 | 7.6 | 38 sports, deep markets; slip open before sign-up; stake limits and cash-out not found |
The six scores add up to 44.0, and 44.0 ÷ 6 = 7.33, shown as 7.3.
Where single pages take their score
A page about one part of the service carries the score of its area. The login and registration pages show Account & login, 7.4; the deposit, withdrawal and payment methods pages show the Cashier score; the app page, the bonus page and the casino page show their own areas; and the sportsbook score appears on the sports betting page. The page on whether the operator is legitimate shows the overall score, because trust depends on every area at once. Guides that explain betting in general, such as odds or draw no bet, carry no score.
Customer support is scored separately and stays outside the average. Its page carries its own mark of 6.5 out of 10, set with the same four questions on the chat test of 08.10: a bot at once and no live agent within 10 minutes. It is kept out of the six areas because every area depends on it, so including it would count the same weakness twice; the 7.3 overall is the six areas alone.
When a score changes
Three events reopen a score: the operator changes a screen our notes describe, the chat answers a question differently, or a reader emails a dated screenshot that contradicts a page. The new date goes into the byline of every page the change touches, and the old figure is not kept on the page.
Payment does not change a score. This site earns a commission when a reader opens an account through its links, the same amount whatever the score, as how partner commission works sets out. Scores also never compare the operator with other brands: they describe 1win.ng against the four questions only.
Who marks the areas
Femi Oladipo, senior editor, ran the phone checks and writes the pages. Zainab Yusuf, fact-checker, holds each figure against the notes and screenshots before publication and redoes every calculation. Each marks every area separately; a gap of more than half a point goes back to the notes until they agree, and a smaller gap is settled at the lower mark. More about both is on the editors behind the checks, and questions about a score go to [email protected].

FAQ
Why are the six areas weighted equally?
Each one can decide a player's experience on its own. A heavier weight for one area would let it cover a weak area elsewhere.
Why is the casino the highest area?
The lobby showed its size, studios and demo labels on screen. It loses points because RTP is not shown in the catalogue.
Why is the bonus the lowest area?
The first card is complete, but the x1 cap limits bonus winnings to the bonus amount, and the period and maximum bet are missing.
Would a real deposit change the scores?
Possibly. A deposit and a withdrawal would show fees, limits and real payout times our checks could not see.
Why is support not in the overall score?
Support has its own 6.5 on the support page. It is left out of the average because every area relies on it, and counting it there would double its weight.
